Jim James

On a Tuesday night when the rest of the world is buttoning up its work shirts for another day, the Vic Theatre will be hosting an altogether different kind of gathering. Jim James is stepping away from his My Morning Jacket majesty to deliver a stripped-down, soul-baring solo acoustic set as part of his Wowed Out Tour. Picture a room tingling with the kind of hush that only happens when an artist bares it all, the air thick with anticipation and the ghostly echoes of James's unmistakable voice. This is an invitation to witness not just a performance, but an intimate confessional from an indie icon. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're in on a secret that the rest of the city hasn't yet caught wind of, this is your night. A Tuesday that promises to be as unpredictable and invigorating as a basement shoegaze set, with the added gravitas of one of the scene's most revered voices.
