Sadie Woods

When night rolls in and the Windy City’s pulse is set to house, the SRBCC transforms into a transcendent glow with Afrodija Social Club leading the charge. Conceived by the inimitable Sadie Woods, this isn’t just a DJ set — it’s a full-on sensory journey where Chicago’s rich musical lineage collides with the lush soundscapes of Borikén, New York, Louisiana, and Mississippi. With trumpeter Corey Wilkes orchestrating an ensemble that bridges electronic grooves and live symphonic flair, the night promises an experience as immersive and layered as a deep house track. Add in the culinary artistry of Chef Roberto Peréz’s Caribbean-inspired feast, and you’ve got a night that’s as much about gathering and community as it is about the music. Fuel up on Comidas y Bebidas while the beats and brass build a sanctuary of sound. This is where history and rhythm converge, so bring your appetite for culture and connection — Afrodija Social Club is the event your weekend didn’t know it was missing.
