they are gutting a body of water

When the cosmos aligns for a Monday night at The Fonda Theatre, you know something ethereal is about to go down. Enter they are gutting a body of water—a name less like a band and more like an existential event. Their sound? Think of the moment you realize a forgotten cassette from the '90s has become your life's soundtrack, with layers of reverb and distortion dripping like the slowest honey.

While the ticket page remains cryptically blank, the buzz hums louder than the amps that will undoubtedly shake the venue. This is the kind of gig where the disenchanted indie kids gather, eyes half-closed, swaying in unison to waves of sound that feel both intimately personal and overwhelmingly universal. If you're missing this, you'll find yourself endlessly scrolling socials, battling the regret of not experiencing what could only be described as a sonic pilgrimage. So, if you can pry yourself away from the comforting glow of your screens, you just might catch a glimpse of the musical nirvana you’ve been yearning for.
