Josie Edwards

It's a Friday night, and if you're not at Mercury Lounge, you're doing it wrong. Josie Edwards is taking the stage, and she's about to turn your expectations inside out like the thrift store jacket you wore to the show. With a sound that might remind you of Robyn after she's spent a late night in a Brooklyn shoegaze basement, Josie's vibe is all about the kind of pop that dances between the lines of mainstream and indie cool. Her live sets are known to be more immersive than your favorite art installation, leaving you with a musical hangover that's actually worth it. Grab your tickets in advance—she's the kind of artist people name-drop before she's filling stadiums. If Mercury Lounge feels like it's vibrating with an extra pulse this Friday, blame Josie. After all, she’s redefining what it means to headline in the city that never sleeps.
