The Rose Hips

This Friday night, dive into an auditory fever dream as The Rose Hips and Buffchick take over the legendary (and somewhat sticky) dive that is The Mercury Lounge. The Rose Hips, with their lush, reverb-drenched melodies, are like the lovechild of Slowdive and a summer night in Bushwick, serving up shoegaze that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new. Meanwhile, Buffchick's fiery synthpop will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about dance music—imagine Charli XCX hosting a basement rave with Grimes supplying the laser beams. With both bands on the brink of blowing up, this is your chance to catch the next big thing before your friends start name-dropping them at brunch. This isn't just a gig; it's the indie scene's best-kept secret, and you're invited. Don't be the one who hears about it the next day and wishes they’d left their apartment. Be there, or forever envy those who were.
